According to Rumour - a comedic play

HATS – Harston Amateur Theatricals - return with a raucous comedy by Robert Scott, 'According to Rumour'.

Carter Sutton, very recently divorced, has had a night to end all nights. If only he could remember it. Matters are not helped by a splitting headache, the imminent arrival of his mother and sister, a naked girl from the night before, and a very large sum of money discovered in the fridge. Hilarity and confusion most definitely ensues!

Tickets are £8/5 and available here.

BlackBar Brewery Tap Night

Once a month, Joe from BlackBar opens up the brewery, puts on some draught beer and invites everyone along for a drink and chat. The atmosphere's always great, and with many of Harston's pubs either shut, for sale or struggling, this is fast becoming a vital community get-together. Support it!

Alongside the cask ales, there is a wider selection of bottled beers to drink or take away, and each month a different street food van supplies food. In August, the Reggae Kitchen returns. Check them out on twitter: https://twitter.com/reggaekitchen88

Families/kids are welcome and Joe will happily explain the brewing process and let them smell the hops, but please remember it's a working brewery!

Remember: BlackBar Brewery is open EVERY SATURDAY, 10am-2pm. Pop in, meet Joe, and buy some brilliant beer!

Queen's Head Grand Opening

From what we can gather, the team from the Three Horseshoes is moving down the road to the Queen's Head, Thai chef and all!  They say:

"Join us for the grand re-opening! Come along with friends for a meal or just for a drink!"

It will be good to see the pub open again after a period of closure and uncertainty.  The Queen's Head also has a Facebook Page.
