On November 20 the Parish Council will be meeting with Cambridge County Council to request that two new bus stops be created on London Road to allow the number 31 bus to stop in Harston. This would allow much greater connectivity for the village as the number 31 stops in Shelford, at Addenbrokes and Drummer Street in Cambridge.
The two bus stops (one inbound and one outbound) are proposed for: London Road, opposite house number 50 and London Road, outside house number 54. The bus stop flags would be attached to the lamp posts. The bus stops will provide a recognised stopping place near to Queens Close.
The Harston Residents’ Group is very much in support of the potential new bus stops and we are trying to collect letters to demonstrate village-wide support. We will be sending out a letter to every house in the village soon and we would be very grateful if you could sign the letter (with your name and address) and return it to the village shop or the school.
Alternatively you can sign this online letter by leaving a comment with your name and address (and message of support if you like!). These letters will then be taken to the meeting on November 20.
Thanks very much!
